I thought I would do a little update on my mum’s beautiful cards that are copies from her original paintings. My mum, Christine Cresswell, who is one of our trustees, only took up painting a few years ago. She has real talent and found it helped her to paint during lockdown. Mum has given her time and talents to our charity and sells her paintings with all proceeds going to the projects we support in Malawi. She had the cards printed, so all proceeds from those goes to the charity too.

Thanks to everyone who has bought cards and thank you to members of Strathblane Kirk and Strathblane Guild for their support. Also thank you to Torrance Parish Church for having the cards in their foyer for sale, we really appreciate your help.

I also want to thank Oakwood Garden Centre, Killearn. They very kindly agreed to stock our fundraising cards and have sold 94 packs of cards which is amazing. Many thanks to Oakwood Garden Centre and all the customers who have supported our charity by buying cards.

Below is a small selection of paintings and cards. I will do a separate post about mum’s paintings soon. The packs of cards are in 8 of same type that are blank inside for your own message, priced at £5 per pack they make a great gift or are handy to have at home. Thanks again and thanks mum, Sarah x

Cards, Paintings & other ways to help us

We are really fortunate to have Christine Cresswell as one of our trustees. Christine is a talented artist and donates the proceeds of her artwork to our charity to help fund the projects we support in Malawi. I will do another separate post with a selection of paintings soon.

As well as being a talented artist, Christine is also my mum. We have had cards printed from some of her beautiful paintings. I have spent a couple of hours at mum and dad’s dining table today. Dad was tasked with counting cards, mum was counting envelopes and I was putting the two together in cellophane bags.

These cards are blank inside so are suitable for any occasion, or a pack could be given as a gift. They are a bargain at £5 per pack of 8 cards (same design) plus p& p of £2.50 per pack. (I can check postage rates for multiple purchases).

My parents also, very generously, paid for the printing of these cards, so every penny from the sale of each pack will be going towards the projects we help to support. contact_us@changinglivesmalawi.com if you would like to order some cards.

One of our trustees (and my mum) Christine Cresswell is a talented artist who uses her skills to help raise money for the benefit of the orphans in Malawi. She has gifted this beautiful original painting of ‘The Beach at Arisaig’ to auction to raise funds towards the new classroom at Bright Futures Secondary School. The painting is 10″ x 12″ and is in a white frame making the dimensions 12″ x 14″.

One of our trustees, Christine Cresswell, has been busy making beautiful paintings. She is donating all proceeds to our charity to support The William Stewart Foundation. I’ve uploaded some of the lovely artwork and have some more to do tomorrow. Her selection of cards will be added over the next few days.

These paintings are an excellent price for original paintings so grab yourself a bargain and start your Christmas shopping for unique gifts that have a feel good factor as you know all the money is going to a very worthwhile cause. Christine has such talent and we are very fortunate that she is donating all proceeds to our charity. She sold a few paintings at a recent fundraising event at which we raised an amazing £1,000 in total.
